Hi Im Nadia a.k.a Little Miss Quick, Portsmouths leading female DJ. My inspiration came from DJ DAG who I saw at a festival about eight years ago. I was working at IBM at the time and had just got a tax rebate which went towards my first set of Decks. Six months later I played my first live set, I gave up my job at IBM and Ive never looked back since. Within a year I began promoting my own club night called Quick. The first night was launched with Chris Liberator and was a sell out. Chris was nominated and won a Saint Award in Muzik mag for his contribution to the success of the night.
Quick ran for three years with the collaboration from various top name DJs including Dave the drummer and the Geezer. Wanting to concentrate more on my DJ career, promoting took a back seat while I played all the main clubs across the south coast and regular sets at the Purple Turtle in London. I also got involved with the London squat parties, I DJd at many in the capital on some of the loudest sound systems known to man!
My international bookings include, Amsterdam on the Queens birthday celebration, I played a spectacular set three years consecutively to a crowd of over 20,000. I have also played in IBIZA the dance capital of the world. An awesome experience and one of the highlights of my career so far. I was invited by Lisa Lashes to play at her night Lashed in Eden. The line up included Anne Savage and Rob Tissera.
I am resident at Decadance Portsmouths biggest dance club. Ive been there for a couple of years now and I also co-promote some events there. Guest DJs this year include Fergie, BK, Lisa Lashes and many more. Some of my favourite recent bookings would be Wildchild at Heaven and Squelcher at SEONE. QUICK FIX RECORDS has just been set up with new releases later on in the year, so watch this space! |
